On a frac site the list of things to do is endless. It is a 24-hour operation that requires constant attention to detail and hands on labor to ensure these wells are not only frac’d efficiently, but also safely.
On that list of things to do is filling reservoirs on Packing Lube Systems. This task takes up a lot of time and can be quite frustrating. Lube rates, system management, and reservoir size play a large part in how often these systems are being filled, but worst-case scenario this could be in between every stage.
Larger reservoirs, auto-fill and remote fill with auto shutoff are a few things service companies explore to combat this task. These are all things we offer at Bill Spitzer and Associates.
However, one easy solution to help make this process cleaner and more efficient is our Mobile High Volume Packing Lube Refill Skid designed for a 275-Gallon IBC Tote. These skids are easily moved around location with a forklift and can fit in the back of a pickup when its time to move to the next pad. The pumping equipment is secured to the skid, so the only thing the user is handling is the lubricant tote when empty. We size the pump and hosing dependent on whether the user is pumping grease or oil. We have options for either hose reels or hose wraps. Each skid will come with our custom designed High Volume Control Valve with Z-Swivel and Trigger Control.
The goal is to ensure that the Packing Lube Systems are being filled as fast as possible and with lubricant that has not been contaminated. The skids are simple and easy to implement. If your refill pump looks something like the picture below, please give us a call to discuss how we can start making things easier for your guys in the field.
